London Asian Art Week Comes, Bonhams Chinese Art Auction Series Makes a Big Debut in November

During this year's London Asian Art Week, Bonhams London will launch five Chinese art auctions in both physical and online platforms, showcasing excellent Chinese art works from collectors from the UK and Europe. As a biannual fixed auction, the "Chinese Art Boutique and Calligraphy and Painting" special auction will be held on November 2nd, with outstanding works from various categories including porcelain, musical instruments, calligraphy and painting, bronze, and jade.

One of the key items in the auction includes a small plum vase from a private collection in the UK, featuring Qing Qianlong blue and white flowers and a colorful pomegranate opening with a hundred seeds. The bottom book features a blue and white seal script made in the Qing Qianlong era. This product is exquisitely designed with a short neck and sloping shoulders, a closed lower abdomen, and lotus petal and banana leaf patterns on the shoulders and feet. The abdomen is decorated with blue and white flowers and foreign colors to create a plump and cracked pomegranate tree, symbolizing multiple sons and blessings. Currently, only three known works have been passed down for comparison.
